Registration at Bertolt-Brecht-Gymnasium

The following documents are required for registration at Bertolt-Brecht-Gymnasium:

for students entering Grade 5:

• Original of the educational recommendation (issued by the primary school)
• Completed application for admission to a Gymnasium (issued by the primary school), signed by both legal guardians
• Copy of the school report for Grade 3 and the mid-year report for Grade 4
• Feedback form for the primary school (issued by the primary school)
• Birth certificate (for presentation)
• Additional registration form (foreign language preference)

for students entering the International Class in Grade 5:

• Birth certificate and personal identification document (for presentation)
• Copies of the most recent school reports
• Application form for admission

for Grades 6–11

• Informal application with reasons for changing schools – alternatively, the official application form may be used
• Copy of the most recent school reportirth certificate (for presentation)

• Wednesday, 11 February 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Monday, 23 February 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, 24 February 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, 25 February 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Thursday, 26 February 2026, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

On all days, the school office is closed between 11:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Please make sure to use all available registration days to avoid long waiting times. It does not matter whether your child is registered on the first or the last day – all applicants have the same chances.
